Just got back from Fusion 98 after having a great time. The network wasn't all it could have been, but if it had been down the whole time I don't think I'd have minded. It was just great to meet people I'd been playing quake with for the last 18 months. Given the chance again I'll be there in a flash.
10/12/97Quake 2 is out! Grab it now.. :)

Quake 2 demo is out! Grab it now...

Just a small note this time. After taking the bold step of installing IE4 (which is actualy excelent, for both the shell and browser) I've made a Quake toolbar backdrop. Worry not, its not very intrusive, but once noticed it looks quite good. Its only 3k, so should you be running IE4 with shell integration then what are you waiting for, click here. (Instalation instructions included)
8/9/97This page has just been transfered to Spiritualnet. The page is now acessed from both www.davenham.u-net.com & www.spiritualnet.com/bagpuss.
The main reason for this is to enable me to eventualy add more demo's to the page along with levels made buy the master designer Gurgeh. Oh yeah, and it might get more hits too :)
Well, We have won the mcw as the screenshot in clan matches section of the photos page shows.
This is our first major success and we are savouring it.
On another note, I am now the proud owner of a K6-200 MHz PC. No more 486 for me :). Unfortunately, even that can't help me when connected to UKCL servers ;).
Recently, at my office, we have installed ISDN. So I can no longer use the excuse when I get beaten, that "Your pings higher than mine." Despite some teething problems, this has persuaded me to install ISDN at home (despite what BT charges for it), so I should become an true LPB soon.
I played under 3 different names, which were 3 separate accounts until the demise of the old Quake World. I've left the links in for the hell of it. They don't work :/.

Bagpuss gave a big yawn, and settled down to sleep.
And of course when Bagpuss goes to sleep, all his friends go to sleep too.
The mice were ornaments on the mouse-organ.
Gabriel and Madeleine were just dolls.
And Professor Yaffle was a carved wooden bookend in the shape of a woodpecker.
Even Bagpuss himself once he was asleep was just an old, Saggy cloth cat.
Baggy, and a bit loose at the seams.
But Emily loved him.
